2008 RVPC Fellow: Dra. Lidia Prado

Meet Dra. Lidia Prado who was the Fellow at the Roatán Volunteer Pediatric Clinic in 2008. Dra Lidia is a medical graduate of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras in Tegucigalpa. She completed her internship in San Pedro Sula in 2006, and was Head Social Service Doctor at the Roatán Public Hospital in 2007. In 2005, she worked in the Food Science Department at Purdue University in Indiana. She has many volunteer experiences with young children and adolescents.

In the RVPC, her help was invaluable. Along with her clinicial skills, her focused, positive and energetic style has been responsible for the success of several of our projects. She was instrumental in initiating the dental health program in the immunization clinic.

In her spare time Dra. Lidia enjoys piano, painting, theatrical arts, and we are told by several observers……. dancing.

Dra. Lidia is currently enrolled in a pediatric residency program on mainland Honduras.
